On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 9, 2023, Researcher Peng Shuyi and Dr. Xu Ruojie from Institute of European Studies of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences came to our Institute for research and discussion. Associate Professor Wei Jinshen, Associate Professor Chen Yiyi and Dr. Li Liang attended the panel discussion hosted by Zeng Xianghong, Vice President of the School.

Researcher Peng Shuyi first introduced the current construction situation and development goals of the Institute of European Studies of CASS, and then exchanged views with the teachers of the Institute on the contents of regional and country studies and investigations. Professor Zeng Xianghong introduced the current situation of the school's discipline construction in the field of regional and country studies, and discussed with Peng and Xu the characteristics and direction of the school's research in the field of Central Asian studies.

Finally, the teachers of both sides agreed that they should make full use of their respective advantages, strengthen cooperation and exchange, and learn from each other. The discussion ended in a pleasant discussion, laying the necessary foundation for the future cooperation and exchange between our Institute and the Institute of European Studies of CASS.
