On the afternoon of November 3, 2022, the 2023 undergraduate graduation thesis Opening debate of our college was successfully held on Tencent conference online. All of the 2023 undergraduate graduates of the college and some of the 2020 undergraduate students participated in this defense meeting.

At the beginning of the defense, each group of students explained their research topics to the judges, mainly from the background of the topic, the significance of the topic, research ideas, literature review and other main aspects of the detailed report. The students' papers have a wide range of topics, focusing on cutting-edge topics of professional disciplines, involving global governance, energy cooperation, artificial intelligence, grass-roots governance, fertility policy and many other fields, with novel topics and outstanding practical research significance. Afterwards, the judges of each group made detailed comments on the thesis title, research method, research content and research framework of the students' report and the proposal report, and gave targeted and constructive revision suggestions based on their own research expertise. Finally, each group of teachers made a summary of the report of the students' proposal defense.

In strict accordance with the relevant regulations of the school and the college, the program is standardized, and it is the overall plan of the students for their own thesis topic selection and research. This debate will help students to realize the shortcomings of their current research, and also help to clarify the direction of subsequent research and graduation thesis writing, identify problems and strive for excellence. This is a test of the initial research on the thesis of the graduates of our college in 2023, and also an important measure to strictly control the quality of the graduation thesis, which helps to improve the spirit and attitude of the serious and rigorous undergraduates in our college, effectively improves the quality of undergraduate talent training in our college, and lays a solid foundation for the students in the future study and life.
